It's been a while...

Christmas 2008... my favorite photos

The holidays always put me in this really weird mood. I want to be around my family but then again I don't. I can't explain it, but I tend to withdraw more and more every year. It's just me, I don't want to be bothered. This year was no different. Too many questions are asked and I just smile and walk away. It's better that way.

I love to be different On to my silly canvas. I had bought Josh this canvas a while back and it was just sitting in this room collecting dust, so I decided to snatch it away. I just started painting and I really wasn't sure what to do with it. All I knew is that I wanted to put it up in my scraproom but I wasn't sure what I wanted to it to say. Then I looked over at my silly skull and knew I wanted to add it to my canvas. In the end all I wrote on it... i love to be different. In away it really is me. When it comes to scrapbooking I don't want to do what everyone else is doing I want something different. I don't like the traditional I like the funky. Funky different. LOL. Yeah that is me. Speaking of which... I guess that explains the silly gifts I got for Christmas.

I have one more week of vacation left, scrapbooking has been the last thing on my mind. I've been cleaning like a mad woman. I moved my room around, cleaned out my closet (I have way to many clothes), and next week I was going to clean out my hallway closet... was.. but nah. My niece and nephew are visiting so I think we will take some field trips instead. =) Tired of being at home, it's time to get out and enjoy the sunshine.

STM Challenge #66 - All I want for Christmas

STM - All I want for Christmas
Please excuse the picture..it came out really bad. I was too lazy to scan it in.

Journaling reads:
All I want for Christmas is you.....
Boys: Mom, what do you want for Christmas?
Me: Nothing.
Boys: Really mom, tell us.
Me: I have everything I want.

Honestly really, I do have everything I want. All I wanted was to spend the day with them and that is what I got. Now that Johnny is in "College" and such a busy man ...blah blah.. I hardly ever get to see him. So the few hours the three of us got to spend together was like heaven to me. This mom business... don't think I like it. Why do they have to grow up? People say it's part of life, but I don't like it. LOL..so now..I just have to wait for grandchildren.. EICK.. maybe not.

Gifts for my co-workers

Every year for Christmas I make something for my co-workers. Last year it was the tile coasters and domino magnets. This year I 'planned' on making them some bookmarks. I have had no energy to make them, so I figure I can always give it to them when I get back from my time off. I will have plenty of time to work on them then.
So what do you think? Bookmarks with what else? A pen? Maybe a bookmark with an altered composition book? Those are easy huh. (Yes I talk to myself a lot). My co-workers really are the best. I don't like my job, but when it comes to my co-workers they really are the best. They always seem to know when something is wrong. I get really quiet and just tend to hide in my hole. They pull me out, take me for a walk, and always lend a shoulder to cry on.
I'm off.. one more meeting today and then it's our departments holiday lunch event.

Have I got a story for you.

This is actually really funny.
Imagine this... around 4:30 pm yesterday here I am trying to cross the street to get to my car. It was windy and it was raining like you wouldn't believe it, OK well maybe I am exaggerating, but it was raining - enough where I needed an umbrella. So here I am all dressed up really cute in my boots - with heals - trying to cross the street. From one corner to another (the first arrow) there is a wind tunnel. So here I am trying to cross the street and my umbrella almost flies away. The wind was that strong! So I decide to put my hood on and say screw it and tried to push through and cross the street. I can only imagine people looking at me just laughing their asses off - because I would be laughing too... OK so wait there is more to the story.
So once I get from one corner to another I decided to open my umbrella back up. I open it and WOOSH.. it flips in the opposite direction. LOL.. yeah imagine this is happening on a very busy street during rush hour. So I stand there..I start laughing... and try my hardest to flip that B* over. I get it done and now I have to cross the street again - see the 2nd arrow on the picture. So again here I am crossing the street in my cute ass boots that have heals... the wind is blowing, my umbrella is broken... and all I can do is laugh.
I pick up my mom - we carpool - and I proceed to tell her my story. She looks and at me says "Hey what umbrella, you didn't use my new one did you?" We just started laughing. Mom's gotta love them.
So there is my story, I was wet, my favorite umbrella is now broken, but I had a hell of a good time trying to cross the street. If I had to do it again.. I think I would make sure to share the experience with a friend. BREWHAHA

friends-best gift of all

friends-best gift of all, originally uploaded by suzbucket.

I totally forgot to post another Digi Layout of mine.

We (Lisa, Juls, Susie, me, April, and Kari) went out for some chit chatting and drinks. Of course being the scrappers that we are we had to take some pictures together.

I have to say I had a great time. It's great to talk to people who sit back and listen. It's not always about "me, me, me" but we all share in the conservation. I honestly think people don't realize they do that. I do tend to be pretty quiet, so when I can let loose I really appreciate it.

I've got the best secret ever. I can't let the cat out of the bag until Christmas day. FYI...it has nothing to do with me... but it is the best secret ever. So only 9 more days....OK a hint...I'm going to be a godmother... well technically...she doesn't know it yet, but yeah.. I have appointed myself the godmother. LOL. I can't stop smiling from ear to ear.

What I did this weekend

lazydays, originally uploaded by suzbucket.

It was one of those weekends, all I did was lay on my bed and watch movies. Didn't feel like doing anything, didn't want to do anything. I think I must have watched at least 10 movies, if not more. Plus I watched a marathon weekend of "The Real Housewives of Orange County". I'm sad my favorite housewife Lauren is leaving, but you know family first - and that is why she is my favorite. Can't stand Vicki. Reminds me of someone I use to be close to.. ick. My other favorite is Gretchen, one of the newer housewives. Yeah I am an obsessed reality TV junkie, what can I say.

Well that is it. Nothing much else to say. If anyone in my family is reading this.. I need new socks for Christmas. That picture above is a hint. Oh yeah and more lovely scented candles please, and oh... more fire wood. Just love my fireplace.

So what did you do today?

I'm in one of those moods today. Productive, yet not too productive. Getting all my 'work' done, but there is a lot of 'free' time. I know people find it hard to believe, but it's true. Work is a little slow for me right now so on my free time I decided to play around in PhotoShop. It's been awhile since I've even had the desire to even fool around with it, so of course I am taking full advantage of my free time right now.

1. Here is the Original Picture. What is it of? Well an itty bitty Christmas tree. It's in my cubicle. I think I'll keep it up all year. 2. Playing with filters. I first played around with the curves and lighten up the photo a bit. I then made a copy of the image in a new layer. For fun I decided to add in a cutout filter. Played around with the opacity.. and whalla this is what I got. I like it.
3. OK I for the life of me can't remember the name of that black art paper that I use to play around with as a kid. As a matter of fact I know I have a package of this somewhere at home. This filter I used here was nothing more then the Glowing Edges filter. I love how some images just pop out. I really want to do a layout with a picture like this. Remember that Wham song.. where the group was dancing and all you saw was the glow.. what was that song? OK Yeah me being anal had to go look for the song on Youtube. Check it out -> Wham - Wake me up before you go go. I don't care what anyone says... George Michael looked hot in those dolphin shorts. LOL.

4. This one was fun. I just played around with the filters and added in that skull in Picknik.com Then I brought it back to photoshop and added in the frame.

I'm not an expert in anyway, but I love to play and learn. =)

Annual Office Bake off

OK so now I'm just trying to come up with things to blog about. blah blah blah... LOL.

Our department has an annual bake off every December. Always tons of yummy deserts, and this year was no different. Let me tell you it's a big deal! Some teams get together to bake and others just pick a person to enter this contest. This year my manager baked for our team, it was the most yummy lemon/lime ice box pie.. don't know what's in it but it was good. First prize went to my co-worker Shalondra, she made the most awesome white chocolate raspberry cheese cake. YEAH it was good! My co-worker Lea made a chocolate tart thingie, again YUMMY and she won 2nd place. The 3rd place winners were my old department co-workers.

I'm off ... been playing with PhotoShop all morning. I'm feeling a little creative today. =) Got an idea and think I'll go home and play. *CHEESE*

Did I forget to mention....

I ran another half marathon this weekend? *YES I DID*. Been training a little harder. Attending boot camps and speed training workouts. I must say it has totally made a difference.
<- In this picture here it's me and my friend Erin 'pretending' to do the salt lick. After a race I always taste like salt. Yeah TMI huh.

I did the City of Angels half marathon this past Sunday(12/7/08). It is an amazing race. It starts off at Griffith Park, runs through Silverlake, up the historic Hyperion Bridge, through Echo Park, and then ends in Downtown Los Angeles. We go through this tunnel, I think it's on 4th Street. I always remember this tunnel because my mom would purposely drive through it and tell us that this is the tunnel she and my dad drove through when they got married... so adorable huh.
My next race isn't until February, so well see how that one goes. I'm addicted! I can't explain the feeling, I just love it. *CHEESE*
As far as scrapping... gosh where oh where has my mojo gone? Just not feeling creative lately. I had a lot of goals planned but right now everything is on hold. It's OK, just trying to iron out some wrinkles and get a hold on life.I'm in no hurry, if it's meant to be it will happen. Right... right. =)

Random stuff

I drove in alone this morning, child is home with pink eye, so when I drive alone I tend to take totally random photos with my cell phone. So this morning I decided.. wouldn't it be fun to document my morning. Yeah it's is pretty boring but bare with me. This is my life.. boring.

Have you ever heard about the busiest freeways in Los Angeles? I drive one of them, the 405 freeway. If you have ever driven that freeway I'm sure you can feel my pain. I only work 12 miles from work, but it takes me 1 hour to get here. Yeah imagine that. The picture below.. the 405/101 interchange. Looks pretty busy right. Here I think I was driving maybe 15 mph or was it 20 mph? I don't know either way it was very slow. LOL

Just for fun I thought I would post a picture of the building I work in. I work in the tall ugly white building.

And for those of you that I haven't seen a while... HERE's BUCKET. haha..

While I am at it, I've also been tagged by the wonderful Sue Fields..MISS YOU SO MUCH!! So lets see what she wants me to do.

The Rules.

1. Link to the person who has tagged you.

2. Post the rules on your blog.

3. Write 6 random things about yourself.

4. Tag 6 others and let them know they have been tagged by leaving a comment on their blog.

6 Random things about me... lets see if I can come up with something totally new that no one knows.

1. OK here is a funny one. I was once a cheerleader for a local football team. Local being in South Carolina. The base put together football teams and one of the girls asked me to cheer with them. I think I cheered maybe 2 games then found out I was pregnant. How is that for totally random?
2. My first car ever was a Jeep CJ7. It was cool! I miss that jeep.

3. I love to climb trees.
4. I love motorcycles, off road type. I use to take off in my cousin's motorcycles. My dad didn't want to get me one because it wasn't very lady like. Whatever.. haha
5. Oh this is a good one, I work right down the street from where Marilyn Monore and Rodney Dangerfield are buried. Seriously. It's a very small cemetary that is hidden between some business.
6. I secretly wish I was Wonder Woman. haha.. Seriously, isn't her outfit the coolest ever! And she has the best toys ever.

Now to tag some people.

Honestly.. I tag you just for reading this. Who are you? I get hits all the time but no comments. So please play along with me and let me know who you are. =)

OH... also.. if you have a few minutes, check out this video. It's of my friend's daughter. The girl is amazing! She had me tears... I wish I could sing like her!

That is it for today.

Are you beautiful

Have you ever heard a song that you just totally fell in love with? It's a very simple song, but the more I listen to it the more I just want to cry. Read the lyrics below and you will see what I mean.

Are you Beautiful by Chris Pierce

You never know when you meet someone
Will she be the one?
You never know and I wonder to myself
I wonder to myself
Are you beautiful?
Are you beautiful on the inside?
on the inside?
Are you beautiful?
Are you beautiful on the inside?
on the inside?

You never know when you kiss someone
Will she be the one?
You never know and I wonder to myself
I wonder to myself
Are you beautiful?
Are you beautiful on the inside?
on the inside?
Are you beautiful?
Are you beautiful on the inside?
on the inside?

Design X Challenge #25 - No Regrets

I've had this photo for a while and have been wanting to scrap it. My boys... just love them to pieces. I know I say that a lot, but I really do. This weeks challenge over at the Design X blog was to create a layout where you have questioned the "What if's" and "If only"... you know the decisions where you question the past and then say "I would do it again."

Believe it or not... there is a reason why I was dragged into that room..the one where the baseball game was playing in the background... the one that I got married in. I don't talk about it much.. uguh.. but yeah I was once married to a man named Adrian. I have to be honest I did regret it the day after, but didn't want to hurt his feelings so I stayed married. I was young and stupid what do you expect. So we stayed married. 7 months later I got pregnant with my oldest. When my oldest was 6 months old I got pregnant with my youngest. So the story goes on and on and on. I figure there was a reason for things to happen the way they did. Do I have regrets... NAH.. without him I couldn't have had my boys. Maybe one day I'll be able to thank him, well if he sees this layout he will know... THANK YOU. Best of all...thank you for signing those divorce papers. LOL =)

Totally out of my comfort zone but I think I like it.

I've been using Picnik a lot lately, I just love that I can print multiple pictures on an 8x8 page so easily. If you haven't tried Picknik I suggest you do. I love the collage features and the filters aren't that bad either. If you are Photoshop challenged I say try it. Let me know what you think about it.

When I got these papers in my Scarlet lime kit I was like...OMG what I am I going to use these with. Then it kind of all blended together really nicely, different.. but you get my drift. Have a great weekend!

Scrapping the music Challenge #60--Click, Click, Click

I do love music challenges. I have to admit I love music and sometimes I sit and think.... how did they know how I was feeling.

I took Josh outside yesterday afternoon and asked him to pose for me, hahaah. Yeah it's not that easy, but he is such a ham. Seriously, though I just love this child. I hate the fact that he is so much taller then me, but what can I do?? So anyway, here is my submission for the Scrapping the music challenge.

Can't forget to add... love the stamp!! Check it out at http://angiedelarie.com/. Angie has got some adorable funky stamps. You know me.. I love anything that is different and unique.

I must add.... WOOOHOOO on the election! I for one am so ready for change.. in all avenues of life.

New Hairstyles??

In my last post I talked about my need for a new look. Seriously I have had the same look for almost 2 years. It was shorter and longer at times but always the same cut and dye job. I decided to go on-line and find a site that has different hairstyles I could try on. I found Daily Makeover/, you upload a photo and whalla you go window shopping for some hew hairdo's. So I tried on a few different looks, some were rather quite silly, and some were like WWWHHHHOOOO OK no. Bad thing is, I'm still sticking to the same color and semi-the same hair style. As long as it has bangs I am cool with it - even though I would love to get rid of the bangs. HAHA there is no making me happy.

Looking at the grid, I am loving everything in the 3rd row. The 2nd row.. haha not so much.. and the first row.. can you really see me as a blond? THINK NOT!

Oh well.. I really need a haircut! Today is a total bad hair day! hahah Cha Cha Chia...

So what can I say…

I am lazy. Ever since I can back from the marathon I have been resting up from blog posting. I get overwhelmed with everything happening around me that posting to my blog is the least of my worries. So here I am trying to play catch up.

The Marathon

WAS AMAZING! I had the most fun ever. I flew up there with my friends Christina, Karen, Sue, Bridget and Tracy. We all met up at 9:00 am for our flight from Burbank to Oakland. We then took the bart from Oakland to San Francisco. I have never been on the bart so for me it was a real treat. Public transportation… gotta love it. Yeah I know for some it’s a daily occurrence, but for me it was a real treat. We got there on Friday and went on down to the Nike Expo, picked up our packets, did a little bit of shopping and met up with some friends for dinner. Saturday, more walking, more shopping, and the coolest thing ever I got to spend some time with Laura Fiore. Just love her to pieces. If you know her you will know what I mean. The plan was for us to go eat Sushi for lunch, but instead I think her plan was for me to do some hill repeats training (this is when you go up the hill, down the hill, up the hill, down the hill). Oh can’t forget I went on my first cable car ride too, I was singing to myself “Rice-a-Roni the San Francisco Treat” the whole time. Yeah I know silly, but you know me.

me_laura_SF2008

Thank you Laura! You are the best, best next time I don't want to walk up hills, and there is no way I am posting those pictures of me that you took. Sorry... I saw those and said.. omg.. hahaha. On a good note.. that really was the best BLT I ever had.

OK back to the marathon.

Sunday morning I am up at 4:30 am, I just couldn't sleep anymore. My stomach always tends to do circles before a race. At least it did circles early this time and I wasn’t running to the port-a-pottys right before the race. So I get to Union Square (start line) at 6:15 am. I am frantically running around looking for my running partner. Seriously, I found her maybe 10 minutes before the race started and I almost cried. I didn’t want to run alone, I have issues with being alone, so when I finally found her I was almost in tears. She hugged me, and I hugged her back, life was good once again. I know don’t laugh.

me_irene

So off we started… heading towards Fishersman Wharf, towards Lombard Street. Then I look over to my left, wait that is the street I walked up yesterday, I think it’s Haight or something like that. I don’t know, can’t remember the name, just know that was not a pretty hill to walk up – especially because Saturday was such a warm day, and I had been drinking a lot of water… so I had to go pee… (said in my best Forest Gump impression). So I won’t go into details, because honestly I am not the best writer ever and whatever.. all I will say is loved every minute of it. The hills were fantastic… all 13 miles of them. Yep.. 13 miles of hills. Oh did I forget to mention I only ran the Half marathon? Due to time constraints I only did the half. Next time I’ll do the full.. but anyway.. it was amazing. Lots and lots of hills but still lots of fun. Our official finish time was 3 hours and 24 minutes minus 10 minutes of potty breaks and stops, so the I would say the "bucket official finish" time was 3 hours and 14 minutes. LOL. Yeah those 10 minutes do make a difference, don't you think. Here are some photos of me... yucko!! I hate how I look in my running gear.. but look at my smile =)

SF_Picnik collage

I really did have a blast, and I have been wearing my medal all week. I don't think I will ever take it off. It's nice to have a necklace as a medal.. it goes with everything and is oh so pretty. =)

Krystal's Sweet 16th Birthday

Oh look at these photos...

Krystal's 16th Birthday Collage

This is all I got before my camera battery died. Yeah leave it to the scrapbooker to not charge her camera battery. I am so mad! My niece Krystal had the cutest birthday party decorations and the cutest cake... nothing caught for memories sake. I don't even think my sister had her camera out. Oh well! I did have a great time. I danced and hopefully didn't embarrass her much. I even saw my Joshua dancing. Yes he dances and smiles. LOL. It was actually kind of cute. I think he is dating my nieces friend, but not really sure. She was all over him, going where he went and not letting him be alone. I was even told her myspace profile name is Mrs. Rodriguez... oh vey.. whatever. She lives 2 hours away so that is a good thing.

Came home early on Sunday and started working on my mini-book for the mini mania blog. I had the idea in my head just hadn't any time to do it. I attended the Ontario scrapbook Expo on Saturday and came home totally inspired and ready to work! OK now to make time to work on me stuff. UUmm...this week isn't looking too good, maybe this weekend. LOL.

The hair

How often do you cut your hair? I know silly question when all I do is talk to myself. Well self.. you should cut it every 6 weeks...well it's been a while - 3 months to be exact. So tired of dying it black. So tired of my bangs.. but I can't live without them. I actually do want to let my hair grow out just a bit longer, but tired of the same old look. I am getting that itch, looking for a new hair cut and maybe I'll add in some color. It really is long... down to middle of my back. Yeah that is long for me. But I can't cut it short or else I'll look like a chia-pet - DON'T LAUGH it's true.

OK enough of my gibber jabber. Back to drawing board.. and yeah let me tell you there is lots in there. =) *BIG SIMLE*

What are you going to be for Halloween?

That is what my co-worker asked me today. We are having a Halloween potluck at work (which I happen to be organizing) so of course I have to dress up. UUUMM.. So I told her I would dress up as a Marathon Runner and wear all my medals. Brilliant me decided to try them on tonight just to see how heavy they would be on my neck. See there... my medals... yeah I don't think the Marathon Runner thing is such a good idea. I may have to rethink this. But wow I didn't realize I had so many either! I love it!

I am just blabbing away tonight. I should be packing and getting my stuff together for the marathon this weekend but I am way nervous. OK I am off to bed before the men in my life kill me. This morning my alarm didn't go off and we didn't get up until 6:20 am!! We need to be out of the house by 6:50 am! Yeah it was one of those mornings. But I didn't stress. I was like whatever if I get to work late big deal.

OK off to bed..before I get in trouble.

Kinda cranky because I really don't want to be at work. Yeah imagine me cranky...it happens I am only human. I just don't want to be here and don't want to be around anyone, I want to be in my bed sleeping. See yeah told you I was sick. I saw this quote somewhere *WORK HARD & BE NICE TO PEOPLE* hahah today is not your day people. To top it off, my marathon (San Francisco Nike Woman's Marathon) is this Sunday. SO EXCITED..but need to get better QUICK!

Work is slow for me and I really don't feel like doing much else. So here check it out. Have you done one of these?

There is lots I want to talk about. Something that I prayed about and finally did what was right for me. I resigned from Magistical Memories a while ago. Yep... GASP huh. I tried and tried, and to be honest with you I cried at the thought of resigning. Crystle and Michael gave me an amazing opportunity - me a product designer... sheesh who knew. They taught me so much and for that I could never thank them enough. With that being said... I have decided to go at it alone. There is so much I would love to produce, so well see how it goes. I've always been told you won't know unless you try... so I'm going to give it a go. So be on the look out. Soon you will see my new stuff.. I am so excited!!! Thoughts? Comments? Advice? And be nice please... you just don't know how hard this was for me to do.

Happy Birthday April

This is my very dear friend and one of my best friends April. She is as silly as they come. I sometimes sit back and wonder how did I get so lucky to have so many great friends. Seriously, think about it. April leads a very busy life, as so do I, but still when we see eachother and talk we tend to quickly catch up and our friendship is renewed.

She is the one person who has always told me to follow my dreams. If I am not happy, do something to make myself happy. Do what is best for me. She always says "IT'S ALL ABOUT YOU BABY." She really is funny. She knows all my secrets and I know most of hers. She tends to hid the most important things from me.. like being sick and having cancer. She gets mad at me because I worry about her, but i can't imagine my life without her so i worry. She yells at me and says "BUCKET SHUT THE HELL UP!" She is a total pain in the butt but I wouldn't have it any other way. I love her to pieces.

So here goes... sing it with me .... Happy Birthday to you..... Happy Birthday to you...... you stink like a monkey and you look like one too..... LOVE YOU APRIL!!!

Google Ex Smack Down

I saw this on a TV show last night and thought it would be so much fun to play. I added in my point system just to make it more interesting.

Find Ex in a newspaper article – get points (1 point)
Finding Ex in a newspaper article that involves criminal activity – lose points (-2 points)
If you find they have a family page – lose points (1 point)
Lose points if they have a myspace page (-2 points)
Hot MySpace Picture – make someone else drink, plus get points (2 points)
Get points if they are in a band (5 points)
Find Wedding or birth announcements = take a drink and get points (1 point)
Blog = shot and points (5 points) – well why not… gotta get points one way or another
Is something awesome = shot plus points (10 points)

Yeah this is how I am choosing to spend my Saturday night. It’s kind of silly I know but sometimes you just have to have fun.

First of all…I am too old for myspace. Facebook, ok yeah I am too old for that too, but that is what I am on and that is what most of my friends are on. So I am substituting myspace for facebook.

Ex #1 = Lost points here, found him on facebook. Nothing interesting going on.
Ex #2 = Lost points here too, found him on facebook, but again nothing interesting going on. I did find a reference to criminal activity… but nope its not him. Thank God!
Ex #3 = Found a news article for doing something good. So lets see, 1 point for finding Ex in newspaper article and yeah 10 points for being something awesome.
Ex #4 = Found him on facebook and found an article on him…so technically – 1 point for him.
Ex #5 = Now this one is interesting. Today as I was cleaning out a closet I found some really really old letters from this guy. He was a Marine and I was just joining. He turned out to be a great friend of mine, and can you believe I found over 50 of his letters. So I said… uumm why not google him. See if I can find anything on him. So I did. What I found was awesome. He had been discharged from the Corps but missed it so much that he went back in. Immediately when I read the article and saw his photo I was like oh yeah that was him. So nice to see such a great guy still doing good for our country. So how many points for him? Defending our country and the best article written about him and his family…I would say 100. LOL.

That is all I am going to do… because as it is when asked exactly how many boyfriends I had when I was single before I was married and after and I was divorced…well let’s just say I just had a lot.

So now if someone were to do a Google search on me lets see how many points they would get.

Find Ex in a newspaper article – get points (1 point)
Well technically there is a newspaper article out on me somewhere. Not sure if you can find it on-line but it’s out there. 1 point YEAH BABY

Finding Ex in a newspaper article that involves criminal activity – lose points (-2 points)
Augh NO! Scared to death of doing anything bad! I am innocent I tell you!

If you find they have a family page – lose points (1 point)
Nope.

Lose points if they have a myspace page (-2 points)
Gosh yes -2 points and should I subtract 2 more points for having a facebook profile also?

Hot MySpace Picture – make someone else drink, plus get points (2 points)
Augh NO. No hot pictures of me allowed on the internet.

Get points if they are in a band (5 points)
Nope.

Find Wedding or birth announcements = take a drink and get points (1 point)
No again.

Blog = shot and points (5 points) – well why not… gotta get points one way or another
Yes Yes… woo hoo 5 points for having a blog.

Is something awesome = shot plus points (10 points)
So what do you consider awesome? Would I consider myself awesome? I don’t know, I fundraise for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society… I raise money to save lives. I guess that could be considered awesome.

So total points = 1 – 4 + 5 + 10 = 12… woo hoo 12 points.

Ok yeah now that I read this…. Don’t laugh at me. I am at home on a Saturday night with a sick child. I was supposed to go to Long Beach to watch my participants do the Long Beach Marathon, but honestly I needed a weekend at home. So having a sick child at home was a great excuse to be home. =)

Happy Saturday night.

I'm gonna be your # 1

Scrapping the Music Challenge #56
Me and my crazy food cravings. I went to in-n-out burger with my co-workers last week, and as I sat there eating my animal style french fries I started singing to myself... "I'm gonna be your number 1"... I know it's a little silly, but if you know me ...I am silly.

My friend Marjorie

friend_Marjorie, originally uploaded by suzbucket.

I started working on this layout a few days ago. Each day I would glue something down and walk away. You know how sometimes you want to make a layout extra special and don't just want to throw it together. Well this is one of those layouts. Marjorie is a very dear friend of mine and I wanted to make this layout extra special.

Marjorie, if your reading this, thanks for always being around when I needed you most!

Love this quote

There's a difference between interest and commitment.
When you're interested in doing something, you do it only when it's convenient.
When you're committed to something, you accept no excuses; only results. -- Kenneth Blanchard

I've been eyeing

the QuickKuts Revolution.
1. I've seen it.
2. I walked by it.
3. I ignored it.
4. Do I really need one?
5. Well it is cute.
6. Look at the cute stuff you can cut with it.
7. Shut up *insert friends name here* I don't need one.
So guess what.... I scored on one this weekend. So what exactly does it cut? Just card stock? If you have one can you tell me more about it.
I have been checking out the QuicKutz site... and I really think I am going to be in trouble. *Thanks Ginger* =)~

Inspiration Unlimited

IU_024, originally uploaded by suzbucket.

I had such a good time at Inspiration Unlimited. Made new friends, had lots of laughs, and just smiled from ear to ear the whole time. Even though I went as a volunteer I could tell everyone there had an amazing time. The projects Janna Wilson, Layle Koncar and Teresa Collins taught were amazing. I do hope they do it again.

So not in the mood.....

to work.

It's one of those days where I'd rather be anywhere else but here.

My child is home sick.

My mom is home sick.

I am not sick.... so I am here.

So I am making the best of my day. I've been day dreaming and you know when you get those ah-ha moments... well I've been getting a lot of those. I'm sad, I'm frustrated, I keep telling myself whatever! Shit happens... you move on. Life right.

A few weeks ago my friend Susie and I were talking about tattoos. I have one. It's not one that is visible but I have one. It's one that I got when I was 26. It was a gift from my friend John. John and I had been talking about me getting a tattoo... so for my 26th birthday he took me out to get one. That was what 12 years ago now. So anyway we were talking about my tattoo and how it's time to go get another one. UUMMM... so to kill time I've been researching and looking for a drawing. I know what I want. Well actually, it's a toss up. See over here to your left, that is my friend Chester. Isn't he adorable, well he is my inspiration for a new one.

I found THIS one and then there is THIS one. Like I said it's a total toss up since I really like them both.

Decisions, decisions. It won't be in a place that is easily visible. Only because of my job and all. I still have to look professional =)~ Well you know what I mean. BUT you know what I really love this style of tattoos too.

So now to find a place to do it at. Any recommendations? Locally please - Los Angeles County.

Another scrapping the music blog challenge. I love the songs they chose and this song was perfect for these photos.

I am also loving Picnik! Have you tried it out? I love how I can upload my photos and and create these great layouts. I know I could have easily done this in Photo Shop, but honestly I wanted it done quickly and easily...and well... I love it. TFL.

Why do you have to grow up?

IMG_1950 copy, originally uploaded by suzbucket.

My Johnny came over to visit on Sunday. I really miss him being at home. He walked in the door and I just hugged and hugged him. I know I can be pretty annoying but I missed him so much. My boy has a job, he goes to college.... I can't be prouder of my baby.

My mom makes fun of me..she says.. now you know how I feel. Augh that woman, yeah yeah is all I say, leave me alone and let me enjoy my baby.
