My friend April

I have to admit I don't have many 'close' friends. I'm a pretty private person and sometimes I just need a shoulder to cry on and this person here, April, is some whose shoulder I've cried on many times.

April has been sick these past few weeks and she worries the hell out of me. She says I worry too much so she doesn't like to tell me things. I get mad and I freak out easily and yell at her for not telling me how she is doing. I worry.. sorry.. she is my friend. I want my friend to be healthy and strong. That is just me. So last night she called me. She asked me am I at home and am I sitting down. I was like yes to both. She had an incident a few weeks ago that sent her to the ER. She had kidney stones on one kidney and they found a lump/mass on the other kidney. She went back this past Tuesday and got another MRI done. She has kidney cancer. She sounded very positive on the phone and I pretended to be OK, but right after I got off the phone I cried and cried. Still crying!!!

April is the cheese in my macaroni, the mustard in my tuna sandwich, the sugar in my coffee... you know what I mean. Please say a little prayer for my dear friend April. I know she will be OK but like I said I worry.

I have posted many times about my friend Araxi and her mad skills behind the camera. She has offered to donate a photo session to my fundraising. If you have ever had your pictures taken by her you know this is an amazing offer!!

This is how it works. This is an opportunity drawing for a photo session with Araxi. For every $10 you donate your name will be entered once into the drawing. Give $20 and your name is entered twice, get it? Got it? Good. :-) It really is an awesome prize package because look at everything she is giving away in the drawing.

If your name is chosen this is what you will receive

- A one hour portrait session with Araxi.
- (3) 8x10 prints of your choosing from the session
- A DVD Slide show from your session (comes complete in a leather case and a 4x6 print)
- A disk of all your images!

She will travel up to one hour from the Pasadena area.

It is simple and the money is going to such a worthy cause! If you can't donate we ask that you just spread the word. If you don't want the session you can always gift it to someone!

The healing process

This weekend I was asked to help a friend with a memorial album of her baby boy. I have to admit this is one of the hardest things I have ever had to do. I just didn't know what to say or what to do. In the end we had a really nice day. She seemed to be doing really well and really enjoyed her healing process. I download some digi kits for her and showed her how to do some digi scrapbooking. She loved the process and was so excited she was completing her album so quickly. If you read my blog I ask that you send Myra and her family a little prayer.

Sneak Peek Time . . .. again

Last night I had dinner with Crystle and Toni and all they talked about was "THE KIT" and how much I am going to love it. Toni kept telling me about the colors and describing what was in the kit, I was like... OK I have to see this. So after dinner they said... Do you want to come check out the kit? I was like Hell yeah! I snuck a quick picture with my cell phone. Honestly this is nothing compared to what else is included in the kit. I think they should be posting sneak peaks up on the site soon. Be on the look out, this is one to get. Seriously, no lie!

I always call him my Mark, as in a Mark for a hit... LOL. He really is a great guy and yep my soul mate.

What do you think of this layout? So not my style but i love it. Maybe that is why i love it, because i usually like to have more on my pages. But this is nice. Simple and nice. Look doesn't he look cute - Araxi took that photo. Telling you she has skills!!

Yes we have winners. You can look at the video if you’d like, and yes I am a total NERD for doing this. But in my mind I think it makes it more meaningful to see your name being drawn out of the box. Doesn’t it? Anyway… when you look at me…and yes that is me all in my glory. Please don’t laugh.. at least not too much. My excuse is.. I’ve been up since 5:30, worked 8 hours, went to team practice, then to my casino night meeting. Yeah.. it’s been a long day, but still it’s been a fabulous day.

The Salsa Lessons Fundraiser with Alex DaSilva was a total success. My family loved it, my friends loved it, and even my new friends loved it!!! I could never thank Alex enough for letting us do this! I will be back to continue with my lessons. I got so confused but I will get it eventually.

Sneak Peak Time

I have to be honest, I have tried on numerous occasions to work with clear stuff and I can't seem to do it. So check it out, Magistical Memories, is coming out with a clear line of products. Here is a sneak peak of the Smiley Face Clear book. I am only showing a sneak because I haven't completed it yet. So far I really like it, but any suggestions on what else to add? Just wondering but can rub ons be added to this? I'll have to see what else I can pull out of the bag to add to this.
