I went to Road Runner Sports today and got the whole shoe dog thing done on me. Basically they look at you run and fit you into the perfect pair of shoes. I must say I am very happy with my purchase!!

But when my baby comes to me telling me his is sick and needs his mom..I run not walk. Spent all morning at the doctors and he still can't hold anything down. Ahh my poor baby...my poor grouchy baby. :( hoping he feels good soon.

It's a beautiful day in the San Fernando Valley, after all the stress of the weekend I decided ... no more stress. Going to spend the day with my youngest. it's kind of nice to get all kinds of hugs from him, yeah I think he loves me. :)

2/12/2010 - Happy 40th Birthday Mark.
I planned a few surprises for his 40th Birthday. Normally I don't plan anything because he gets really grouchy about his birthday but this time I pulled it off and I actually kept the secret. It's not normal really, I can not keep a secret...hahah but this time I was good. We had a wonderful evening with all of our friends. Can't wait to do it again at my faux birthday party :)

1st training day of the new SFVTNT Summer Season. To say the least it was amazing! It was awesome seeing complete strangers hug and say "See you next weekend" with huge smiles. I have a good feeling about this season. I've got some great ideas and really looking forward to another season of making some great friendships.

So.....

Today I ran/walked the Surf City Half Marathon in Huntington Beach.

It was a beautiful day, and I wish I could say it was a good run. I was a little injured and cried a few miles but kept on going. Injuries happen but when it hurts so bad that you keep on limping but keep on pushing..yeah it hurt so bad I just cried. :( BUT as always there is always something to motivate you along the course.. and here was my motivation. This man. Don't know his name but inside secretly I thanked him for his cadence. He would sing a bit and then he would do a few twirls with his flag, total motivation and inspiration on a bad day I was having. Thank you man, who ever you are.

So maybe this isn't the best to eat before a half Marathon....but I figure I'll burn off the 675 calories. Yes you read that right, one slice of cheescake (original) is 675 calories. :P

Today I didn't carpool and decided to take my time driving in - so I stopped at my local 76 gas station for a yummy $1.19 coffee. Yeah most people need their Starbucks .. not me.. give me some yummy gas station coffee and I am in heaven. My day would also have been so much better if I would have turned right off Sunset Boulevard versus making a left. A left brings me to work at UCLA. A right would have taken me to Pacific Palisades. I've never gone to the beach when it's raining but I would imagine it to be beautiful. Maybe? One day I'll make that right and just call it a day. =P

After I heard that I was in total stress mode. I wasn't hungry, I just wanted to work on my presentation and get it over with. The outcome... EXCELLENT. I was early, I was clear and concise, I answered all the important questions...now to move on and get this ball a rolling.

I received this poem in one of those chain letters types of emails. Normally I don't even read this stuff but today I thought OK let me read it, I need to relax a bit and boy am I glad I did. Enjoy.

Valentines Day Wish List

Dear Mark,

To make it easy on you this year I am posting my Valentines wish list. While I have loved the other gifts you have given me in the past years I wanted to make it easy on you this year and tell you what I'd really like. ;D Any of the 3 would be nice, but I have listed them in my order of preference.

1. Tattoo - What can I say. We have talked about this for a while. So even if you disagree with me on the beauty of Tattoo's I love it and want it. If you don't get it for me I am sure Sancho will. He told me so. :)~

2. Fujfiilm Instax MINI 7s White Instant Film Camera - I showed this to you and you walked away. Why must you always walk away when I show you something that I want? Here I am showing it to you again. I want this one so that I can take silly pictures of you when you are sleeping. :)~3. Iomega Prestige 1 TB USB 2.0 Desktop External Hard Drive - What can I say..the geek in me really wants this. And yes the 1 TB one - bigger is better right? Or I'll take the 500 GB one. Either one is OK. Yeah I know what the heck? My wish list is simple. I don't want something expensive I'll even take a box of Milk Bordeaux chocolates with my cheap Riunite Lambrusco wine....but really...whose paying attention anyway. LOL.
